Mattel Jurassic World: the road so far

Mattel pulled out all the stops when they took over the Jurassic World license from Hasbro. A lot of fans were skeptical. But the turnout is fantastic. While there will always be room for improvement, it’s quite obvious that this line is far superior then what Hasbro put out two years ago. And besides sculpts, paint jobs, quality and diversity, there’s also the scope of the line. The amount of toys that Mattel is pushing out of its factories is mind-blowing.

Though as a Belgian fan, it’s not easy to build a collection when not all items are widely released in Europe. Paying for overseas shipping and duties take a big chunk out of the Jurassic budget. But nonetheless, I was able to build quite a nice collection so far.

I can’t wait to see what Mattel has in store in the near future.

  1. Gotta say I’m very happy with Mattel getting the license and using it to its full potential. I’m looking forward to the future of the toys with a lot of optimism and I hope they keep it collector friendly as well!
