The Command Compound was THE toy I wanted as a kid.  I wanted it so bad, I dreamed about and kept staring at the HUGE box when I was at the local toy store. I begged for months to get it from my parents but to no prevail. When Christmas came around the corner, there was a large big box under the Christas Tree and I was convinced my parents finally got me my beloved Command Center. However when I unwrapped it, disappointed struck. No Command Center but a Jurassic Park desk chair. A desk chair… I had to fight to show my disappointment to my parents who were really proud they found me a new desk chair themed to the francise I love the most. But yeah, a desk chair…

Years later when I was an adult, I got myself a near complete set with box from eBay. I had to import it from the USA to Belgium, so you can imagine that was quite costly (definately a lot more expensive than a desk chair). But man, when I opened box and finally helt that awesome Jurassic Park gate, it blew my mind.

The details on this set are awesome! From the fences with the 10,000 volt sings to the embedded fossils on the exterior walls and the break away walls and railing. The interior has a cool talking computer with a flashing light and says over 100 different phrases. And finally the egg hatchery, not so much as in the movie, but still pretty cool. One Two of the eggs (which were sadly released unpainted) feature a hatching raptor Triceratops!

Eventually I found a guy in my area who was selling his incomplete compound . I used it to complete my set. Owning this piece is basically everything and I have two now!

Oh, and yes, I still have that desk chair and its sitting right next to my Command Compound…
